Pam Johnson pop-up raffle for Max Perry 2020
Whe raffle has been won by Pat Bland, of Berkhamstead, a budding amateur artist.
Many thanks for everyone that paticipated.
Max was born Feb 3 2019. During his birth, he was deprived of oxygen, resulting in his present condition, HIE. Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy is a type of brain injury caused by lack of oxygen reaching the baby from the placenta around the time of birth.
His family are trying to provide Max with all he needs to make life as comfortable as possible. But not all of his needs can be met by the NHS.
The pop-up raffle is a four-week opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for £15. The prize is an original painting by Pam, whose work has been shown in sell-out exhibitions in London, appears in many commercial campaigns and is in the archives of the V&A London. The painting measures 100 cm x 100 cm (39” x 39”).
Pam and her family hope that as many people as possible will buy a ticket, or more than one, and the draw will reveal the winner of the original canvas. Individual pieces of Pam’s work have sold for thousands of pounds during her professional career. Helping Max and his family would be an amazing and much appreciated achievement for all those taking part in the raffle. A licence to run the raffle as a Small Society Lottery with charitable status has been granted, registration number LN/201900785.
Children with HIE need various aids and help, not all can be provided through the NHS, though the family have been shown great care by the NHS:
- Weekly physio costs around £90 per hour for private sessions
- Private hydrotherapy will be a cost of £5000 annually
- Eventually his parents may need to buy a home lift, a price of approx. £20,000
These are just some of the things his parents, Ed and Naomi, hope to achieve, along with help from loving family and friends.
Thank you for potentially buying a ticket for Pam Johnson’s pop-up raffle for Max Perry 2020. The four-week duration of the raffle will start from the date of sale of the first ticket, with all ticket holders’ details entered and the winner randomly selected. The name of the winner will be announced on this website, and with their agreement, we hope to include a photo of them with the painting.
